Music of 80's

By Neidy Guzman

Honduras sometimes don't appreciate our own culture and things that we can create, but in this time I want to talk about  The music that Honduras had in the 80's. Sicerely I didn't know about the music that my parents listened or my uncles liked, but I talked with my family and discovered a Honduras rock band that were successful in the 80's, KHAOS FORGED IN ROCK. during the early 1980’s in the Heart of the City of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, KHAOS Broke Traditional Local Music Paradigms by Becoming the first Honduran group to Compose and Record Original Spanish rock music and Perform According to its Own Unique. The Most Popular Tunes are: “Roleando”, “En Llamas”, and “En las Garras del Diablo”.
These legendary songs are still very popular today within Honduras. It is very important to know the things that we can create, and show support to Honduran artist. Everybody should imagine incredible things and make come true that dreams.

The most important coin in the 80's.

This little thing was very important in the 80’s here in Honduras. This coin had so much power when my parents were young, they told me that when they wanted to travel to college or a friend’s house they needed to pay with this little coin. But nowadays this coin lost it value and nobody uses anymore, and I think that this is like a historic relic. My mom has a bracelet made only with coins and this coin is included, for my mom this is a treasure from my grandpa and I like the way my mom conserved this amazing gem. It is incredible how our habits of take care of our culture lost it value and tell me old lady but I like to remember the things that we had and we created.
